APT is seeking qualified teachers in Electronics,
Telecommunications, Fiber Optics, Wireless Communications, FCC general Radiotelephone Operations, and more. A qualified teacher will intimately know the material they are teaching and must be comfortable training in hands:on labs to develop skills in the relevant processes, yet also be able to utilize online learning portals to teach students.
Strongly seeking Part time Technical Instructors to teach evening and/or weekend classes in various technologies such as:
Fiber Optics (FO)
Qualified teachers will instruct in industry standards governing FTTD (Fiber To The Desk), FTTH (Fiber To The Home, LAN/WAN fiber networks, and further introduce students to basic fusion and mechanical splicing. Students will learn how to identify fiber types, recognize various connectors used in fiber installation; and install, terminate, splice, and properly test installed fiber cable to existing standards. You will provide students hands:on training using a Light Source and Power Meter (LSPM) and Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) preparing them for testing and troubleshooting fiber optic network systems. Provide students personalized instruction in operating specialized equipment such as fusion splicers, OLTSs and OTDRs and teach them how to interpret test results.
Wireless Communications (WCT)
Qualified teachers will instruct in basic principles of wireless communications from 1G to 4G and beyond. Course content includes topics such as wireless channel modeling, frequency reuse, capacity, channel coding, modulation and demodulation, OFDM, MIMO and other topics.
You will use your knowledge to help students build on their current, basic understanding of engineering fundamentals such as sinusoidal signals, wavelength, frequency, etc.
Cisco Internetworking Fundamentals (CIF)
Qualified teachers will instruct in Cisco Internetworking Fundamentals (CIF) and similar courses.
You will use your knowledge of internetworking to teach this CIF course presenting an overview of internetworking basics such as introductions to: LAN protocols, WAN technologies, bridging and switching basics, routing basics, network management basics and OSI (Open System Interconnection) protocols. CCNA certification is required.
Wireless LAN Technologies (WLT)
Seeking to hire Wireless professionals to teach courses in networking technologies including data communications and Internet technologies and basic system performance analysis; TCP/IP, LANs, WANs, internetworking, and signals and communications media; techniques of planning, controlling, organizing and decision making for a telecommunications network; accounting, security, fault management, configuration, and maintenance. Protocols and architectures for network management.
