Windsor, CT Braintree, MA Minneapolis, MN Atlanta, GA West Chester, PA Des Moines, IA This position is for a Senior Network Security Engineer with great expertise being responsible for supporting an enterprise network security environment including firewalls, intrusion prevention, web security, email security, denial of service, malware sandboxing, SSL visibility, access management, with a focus around managing such technologies in a Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) deployment. Responsibilities: Installation, upgrades, testing, and documentation for network security environments. Responsible for day to day operations of network security environments, including end user/application tickets/issues, managing incidents and outages, and any required troubleshooting. Recommend best practice solutions for network security environments, based on research of emerging products, services, protocols and standards. General support of the network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion prevention, web security, email security, denial of service, malware sandboxing, SSL visibility, access management, and more. Participation in an on call rotation and management of currency/lifecycle for all environments. Assist in responses to internal and external compliance audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments. Provide recommendations regarding direction of systems and applications to help secure access, data, and assets. Monitor current and proposed laws, regulations, industry standards, and ethical requirements related to information security and privacy. Work with vendors and service providers to evaluate potential security offerings, including product evaluations, pilots and proof of concept installations. Leverage a wide range of technologies including, but not limited to: logical access controls, identity and access management, LDAP, security incident response, privileged access management, database and system monitoring, end user password management and single sign on systems as well as network device integration. Ability to understand and troubleshoot a mixture of different technologies as they pertain to the network security environment, including web traffic, network configurations, system configurations and upgrades, user authentication, and domain integration. Ability to work well with other technology areas to deploy security technologies. Who is our ideal candidate? Minimum 5 years of experience in a large production IT environment administering and supporting multiple medium to small size applications. Significant experience with supporting an enterprise network security environment, direct experience with firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), web security solutions, email security solutions, remote access VPN utilizing multi-factor authentication . Significant experience with enterprise Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) deployment, direct experience with VMware NSX Significant experience with rollout of new network security technologies, specifically SDDC technologies and technical support documentation. Strong working IT security knowledge around identity access, data protection, system and application monitoring, system and application access, and access management integrations. Experience with enterprise change management processes. Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS environments.
