Perform other duties for backup and support as necessary.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesFunction as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide administrative support for all database technologies within the organization.Ensure availability, dependability, recoverability and performance for systems in area of responsibility.Take lead and ownership for resolving all issues impacting function or performance of responsible systems performing troubleshooting, diagnostics and support escalation coordination as required. Also determine and document root cause and preventive measures. Install, configure, tune, build and deploy packages, refresh environment, and apply patches and upgrades.Deploy approved changes into production systems in accordance with departmental change management procedures.Perform resource utilization monitoring, trending and proactive growth planning.Develop, maintain and enforce security configurations, standards and auditing with applicable regulatory guidelines.Participate and contribute to approved projects.
