Job Description
The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring maintenance technicians are deployed to homes based on type of service requests received from occupants. Position will also be responsible for tracking and logging completed and pending requests along with assigned technician information.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Works directly with maintenance supervisors to coordinate day-to-day activities of the maintenance technicians within region.
Operate company paging system, radio, or telephone to dispatch maintenance technicians to homes or to relay messages to and from supervisors.
Receive telephone and radio calls requesting emergency or non-emergency maintenance related services.
Verifies and dispatches the appropriate number and level of technicians with regards to service requests.
Type reports and record information into a shift log and maintains necessary files.
Responsible for tracking reported maintenance deficiencies and equipment failure.
Track service requests and maintenance work performed in appropriate systems.
Carry out administrative tasks or other duties as assigned.
Attend company provided training for individual development
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or the equivalent with an additional one year of customer service or related experience; or any combination of relevant education and experience
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
Deal effectively with people, react quickly and calmly, and make sound decisions in emergency situations;
Speak clearly and concisely;
Maintain accurate records;
Communicate over a transmitting radio
