Job Description
Summary:
The RN-Telemetry provides telemetry monitoring in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Monitors, reads, interprets and reports telemetry readings.
Recognizes and corrects for artifacts.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Provides patient and caregivers/family members with education concerning the patient's plan of care, medications, activity restrictions and disease prevention.
Education & Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
ASN preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required; ACLS required within 6 months of hire. If applicant possesses ACLS at time of hire, BLS is not required.
Florida Department of Health Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure required.
